"Mühlenmuseum" ("Mill museum") This museum in Gifhorn offers visitors a wealth of attractions. Each of the 15 mills from around the world (Portugal, Greece, Korea, etc.) features something unique. The Scottish windmill "Lady Devorgilla" is well-known as the white "wedding mill" of Gifhorn, and serves as a romantic venue in which couples can exchange their vows. The centrepiece of the museum grounds is the 800 square metre exhibition hall with approximately 40 model windmills and water mills from around the world. At the heart of the compound is a village square with 3 timber-framed houses built in Lower Saxony style. The museum is open from mid-March through to the end of October.
